Cherries v Liverpool

I was delighted to obtain a main stand ticket for this prestigious match in the history of AFC Bournemouth and today made the round trip from London to Dean Court aka the Goldsands Stadium for the early afternoon kick-off.

There was a real buzz outside the ground as the arrival of the Premier League giants for the FA Cup third round game had really captured the imagination of the town, with many queuing overnight to snatch up the much sought-after tickets.

A live TV audience witnessed the Cherries begin extremely well and there were many comments on Twitter commending the team’s performance, however their excellent approach play was unfortunately not completed by top class finishing and Liverpool’s superior strike power told in the end as they ran out 2-0 winners.

However, the Bournemouth eleven had confirmed the club’s rising status and manager Brendan Rogers was particularly complimentary of Eddie Howe’s approach and style of play.
