A meeting of notable music advertising sales contacts and clients in town this lunchtime, as I joined instrument and equipment manufacturers, retailers and publishing sales personnel at The Footman in Mayfair. My thanks to Guy Meredith of Future for the invitation.
Afterwards I passed the premier of Boxing Day at the Curzon. The release is a ‘likeable Black British aspirational romcom in the transatlantic style.’ (The Guardian). The venue itself was built in 1934 and is a landmark fixture on the cinema circuit in London.
I also dropped into the photographic exhibition by Daisy Dalton at 54 The Gallery in Shepherd Market. Shortly after I had taken in the intriguing collection, a visitor of note came through the door: Jack Brooksbank. I am not familiar with the members of the Royal Family, but he was very pleasant company and clearly an important contact for Daisy.
