Acoustic magazine

The September 2013 edition of Acoustic magazine features a column on page 13 in which I list my tips for securing press reviews. Originally included in full in the summer issue of The Musician, the piece by Katie Nicholls outlines the recommended approaches for artists seeking media coverage for new releases. Under the headings, ‘Look the business’, ‘Make it easy’, ‘Consider all the options’, ‘Be objective’ and ‘Be proud’, I run through the essential details that can make a difference when looking to obtain that crucial first coverage. This particular issue of the magazine, which superbly covers all things acoustic, also includes interviews with Ed Sheeran, Kenny Rogers, Mark Eitzel and Willy Mason.
