This evening I joined a wonderful assembly of carol singers next to the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square (thanks to Norway, as ever), as we swung and wassailed for an hour through seventeen carols to raise money for Nordoff Robbins. Happily the weather was mild and we entertained an encouraging crowd of listeners, who gathered on the steps in front of the National Portrait Gallery. Organised by Sue Harris of Republic Media and led by chorister James Mawson, the enthusiastic throng including Ed Potton, Laura Westcott, Sara French, Sarah Brownski, Freddie Sterritt, Kolan Maawwsson, Lesley Michaels, Jason Ritchie, Christian Guiltenane, Stephen Leng, James Green and Erin Jones. A lovely evening.
