Ben has been volunteering on Saturday mornings at Beckenham Cricket Club in Foxgrove Road, prior to playing for the Beckenham 4th XI in the afternoon, by helping Neil Coulson and team host the All Stars sessions for under 10s.
These gatherings introduce and arrange a range of sports and games, including cricket understandably, for around thirty children each week. A very worthy way to spend an hour in the sunshine and to kick off the day. Well done son for your contribution and commitment.
To make a music related connection, I should add that David Bowie lodged with Mary Finnigan at 24 Foxgrove Road in the summer of 1969 and it is said he used to occasionally sit outside the ‘summer pavilion’ pictured across the ground.
