A successful day at Nizel’s Golf and Country Club for the Kent senior cricket contingent as we beat teams from Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire in the Quadrangular Golf Match between the four counties.
I played at midday with Martin Burgess and Peter Hayes and despite some muddy conditions underfoot, we steadily ran up respectable scores over the challenging course. Both Peter from Sussex and I finished with a useful 36 points. (I was playing off a handicap of 14 and Peter off 17).
I was also delighted to win the nearest the pin competition on the 5th hole, following a particularly satisfying 6 iron shot.
