My wife Julie and I had a very enjoyable evening in the West End last night, in which we attended a Charity Dinner Dance in Covent Garden – where Julie won a raffle prize again! – and we reflected the event’s 1920s theme with her superb flapper dress and my gangster outfit hired from Angels in Shaftesbury Avenue.
We then wandered over to Bar Italia for a coffee, then dropped into The Bar at the Ivy for a cocktail, where we met a host of musicians – including pianist Alex Stanford – and the charming American cast of Motown the Musical.
