I attended a UK Music Comms Group meeting this afternoon at the UK Music headquarters in Berners Street. The gathering was chaired and hosted by Dot Levine and attended by representatives of the UK Music members, including PPL’s Jonathan Morrish and BPI’s Lynne McDowell. Updates on work and projects from around the industry, including Fair Digital Deals, the Music Export Group Scheme, AIM’s Start Up Loan Scheme.
I summarised the Union’s activities including our Support My Music Teacher campaign, the plans for the TUC Britain Needs A Pay Rise event, Work Not Play, and how we were developing refreshed comms products such as the new website, magazine and promo items.
