This year’s TUC Congress is taking place at the Bournemouth International Centre on 8-11 September 2013. As part of the agenda business during the Congress, the Union will be presenting motions on private copying and fair compensation (no.25) and freedom of musical expression (no.79). I drove down to the venue today and set up the MU’s archive display, illustrating the 120 years of the organisation’s history, outside the impressive Tregonwell Hall. This is in advance of the Union’s event on Tuesday evening, when invited guests will enjoy our superb band for the evening: The Overtures.
