I attended the memorial service for Gary Hyde this afternoon at Bromley Baptist Church. Gary had passed away very suddenly and will be sadly missed by many musicians and union activists in the SE London area. The church was full with his family and many friends who wished to pay their respects to a fine drummer, committed union worker and inspirational gentleman whom it was a pleasure to both know and work alongside.
