I joined photographer Jonathan Stewart in Ripley, Surrey, today as we had been invited by Rachel Thacker to attend the recording of two tracks by rising stars Sour Kix at Paul Weller’s Black Barn Recording Studio.
We were welcomed by producer/engineer Charles Rees and we were soon settled into the fascinating surroundings, where every corner was filled with momentos and artwork from Paul’s career. The recording studio itself contained, understandably, a great collection of keyboards and guitars and was a superb environment for creative endeavours. The band cracked through the performances, Jonathan captured some great shots, and a fun and rewarding day was had by all.
