A very productive afternoon spent at my writing partner Jim Hawkins’ studio in Kingston, working on our series of melodic and emotive ballads. In particular, the ‘dark country’ of Between these walls and ‘parent to child’ warmth of Forever yours. Whilst we had already created the structure and themes of both songs, today’s efforts have enabled us to both complete the toplines and chord foundations, in addition to focusing our burgeoning writing style. Highly rewarding.
