Julie, Ben and I caught the train into town this afternoon from Eden Park to meet up with Lisa at Covent Garden station. We walked around the corner to Masala Zone and enjoyed an excellent meal, before Lisa and Ben headed for Charing Cross and home, while Julie and I walked to Shaftesbury Avenue where Julie had bought tickets for the improvisational musical show, Showstopper!
All to celebrate my birthday today. The show is totally improvised and features a musical theatre production, with live band, based on suggestions from the audience. This evening the MC/compere chose a theme of a weight watchers’ meeting. It certainly provided plenty of opportunities for the cast to riff on ice cream and diets. Afterwards we walked into Soho and had a late night coffee in Bar Italia, before heading for home. Thanks Julie, for a wonderful evening.
