A very enjoyable evening spent at Oslo Hackney marvelling at the psycho/pop of four-piece She Drew The Gun, who have returned from playing the SXSW festival in Texas and are touring the UK with their superb album, Memories of the Future.
Writer/vocalist/guitarist Louisa Roach fronts the band with style and passion and the performance is enhanced by her excellent backdrop videos and illustrations, key to the band’s image. Photographer Jonathan Stewart captured the set and we will be sharing the pictures with the band, which is completed by drummer Siân Monaghan, bassist Jack Turner and Jenni Kickhefer on keyboards and backing vocals. We aim to profile the band in the summer issue of The Musician and it was a pleasure to meet their manager John Leahy to make the initial arrangements for this.
