I caught a train from Beckenham to London Bridge this morning to complete a Conference site visit at the Hilton Hotel in Tooley Street with my MU colleague Jane Austin. This proved particularly productive and our thanks to the events team at the venue for their advices today.
I then travelled in the rain to the White Hart, Cornwall Road, Waterloo, where I met the film director Alan Boyd. Alan and his partners are developing a documentary on the session scene of the 1960s through to the 1980s, with a spotlight on the players involved and their working lives. Alan had been recommended to me as a valuable initial contact to source the musicians, producers, fixers and studios of the time.
