I travelled up to Birmingham on Friday to oversee the installation of the MU stand at this year’s Guitar Show, efficiently organised as ever by Jason Hunt and his team. Joining me during the two-day weekend event at the new location of Cranmore Park, Solihull, was the superb duo of Stephen Brown and Benson from our Midlands office.
Also on hand was photographer Jonathan Stewart and we collectively met numerous budding guitarists, demonstrators, retailers and performers. The Village Hotel proved an excellent base and its sports bar was a popular destination for football and boxing fans each night!
When the show was over on the Sunday evening, I stayed over to complete a conference venue site visit to the Park Regis Hotel in the centre of Birmingham, alongside my MU colleagues Jane Austin and Amy Grimes.
