I was kindly invited by Vanessa Elliott, the Head of BBC Corporate Affairs, to the Department’s first Christmas reception this evening at the ‘old’ Broadcasting House in Portland Place. It was a pleasure to meet Barney Jones, former producer of the Andrew Marr Show, plus Caroline Cummins of the Publishers’ Association, author Patrick Barwise and Lucy Phillipson of the British Council.
