Glorious sunshine greeted the spring gathering of the Four Seasons Society at Bletchingley Golf Club today as a dozen players battled to win the first trophy of the year.
I played in a foursome with James Hayes, Andy Hayes and Chris Harmes and whilst I did not score particularly well, the banter and storytelling made for a very enjoyable round. As usual, I performed better on the longer par fours, threatening a birdie on the dog-leg 5th (stroke index 1 and statistically the hardest hole on the course).
Ham, egg and chips together with numerous cold drinks ensured a fine time was had by all at the 19th. My thanks to match sponsor Lee and James for acting as secretary for the day.
